The exhibit, We Were Here: Archaeology of the Kolb Site, Darlington County, will be at the Florence Museum of Art, Science and History from June 2-July 11. The museum is located adjacent to Timrod Park at 558 Spruce St. and is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10am to 5pm and on Sunday, 2pm-5pm. The Hartsville Museum will open the annual exhibit by the Swamp Fox Quilters on Thursday June 3rd. The exhibit, "Remember When" will remain at the museum until August 28th. Admission is free. Visitors are encouraged to vote on their favorite quilt. On Aug. 27th, votes will be counted and a People's Choice quilt will be chosen. The Hartsville Museum is open 10 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday and 10 am -2 pm on Saturdays. For more information, call (843)383-3005.

The Florence Regional Arts Alliance will be presenting a very special exhibit on N.B. Baroody beginning May 27 and ending July 1. Visit the Arts Alliance Gallery, located at 412 South Dargan St. in Florence between the hours of 1:30-4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Don't forget to stop by the Arts Alliance Shoppe, a retail operation that features unique one of a kind works of art for personal enjoyment or as a special gift. The Shoppe currently features ceramics by Sasha and Tari Federer and Douglas Gray as well as jewelry by Beth Wicker.

Central United Methodist will host its 7th Annual SPIRIT of CENTRAL on Wednesday, June 30 at 6:15 pm. An informal patriotic celebration of our nation, event will include a rousing tribute to those whom have served over the past 235 years, service songs of all 6 branches of our military and the National Anthem. After The Pledge of Allegiance and the traditional children's STARS and STRIPES flag parade, the children will go to the playground for games and treats from the ice cream truck. The adults can stay to enjoy musical entertainment by the fabulous vocal group, THE PLAIDS! THE PLAIDS, presented by LIVE@CENTRAL!, will entertain with favorite hits from the 50's, 60's and doo-wop. The community is invited to this free annual patriotic celebration of our nations history.
